(The sun rises at a yellow and black blimp with blue, purple, yellow, and green lights)
Resident: (jumps out of bed, revealing themselves as a young Inkling, then uses their gun to shoot ink) I shoot my gun to ink the ground and pop balloons. (throws Splat Bomb) I use my sub weapon, the Splat Bomb, to cover more ink than usual, and I can also use my ink to cover enemy ink, because I'll get stuck in ink that is not my color. (changes to Squid Form in an ink puddle) I can only swim in my ink.
Main Episode[]
Narrator: This is the city of Inkopolis. The ones that live here are...?!
(Two Inklings in squid form are swimming to Inkopolis)
Narrator: Called "Inklings"! They're squids!! But they're no average squids...!
(The Inklings change to kid form, the female Inkling is dressed while the male Inkling is naked)
Narrator: What a surprise! They can transform into a human form!
Headphones: Wha-?! Why in the world are you naked?
Goggles: Blurghhh! I forgot to put clothes on!
(Goggles is now wearing clothes)
Headphones: Now stop being an idiot and let's go!
Goggles: Yeah! Let's have just as much fun at it today!
Narrator: What is it that has them so enthralled? It's... 4-on-4 turf battles!
(The Blue and Yellow teams are having a battle)
Goggles: So uh... exactly what were these turf battles, anyway?
Headphones, Specs, and Bobble Hat: YOU DIDN'T KNOW THIS WHOLE TIME?!
Headphones: We need to use our weapons here to spread our ink; the team that covers that covers more area in ink wins! (points to yellow team's base) Yellow team starts here! (points to her team's base) Blue team starts here!
Specs: Basically, just squirt your team's ink color on the ground and walls and you'll be fine!
Paintball Mask: But of course, Yellow Team will be the victors!
Specs: No! Blue Team are the strongest Inklings!
Goggles: The strongest... INKRINGS!? You mean they're gonna eat us!?
Paintball Mask and Specs: NOT INKRINGS, INKLINGS!!
Headphones: Let's just start the battle already!
(Blue Team and Yellow Team change from squid form to kid form on their bases)
Announcer: Ready, GO!!
(The battle starts)
Specs: Let's spread that ink, everybody!
Goggles: Why are you over there playing with a brush?
Specs: THIS IS MY WEAPON! It lets me get up close and personal.
Headphones: Which keeps the heat off me when aiming!
Goggles: Everyone has a role to play!
Narrator: Different weapons utilize different mechanics.
Bobble Hat: Rolling is my specialty! (squishes Goggles and Specs)
Goggles: AUGH!
Specs: Why!
Headphones: Okay! Enough tutorial! We're on the brink here!
Specs: R-right! The turf war...! I knew that... (changes to Squid form to climb up a slope) Blue Team, roll up! Let's speed this up! Let's push forward!
Narrator: In squid form, they can climb up walls and pass through nets!
Specs: (hits a box) I can't go any further?!
Goggles: I caught a squid!
Narrator: They can't move on places without ink.
Specs: Stop getting in our way!
Paintball Mask: Blue Team is just as foolish as expected.
Headphones: Yellow Team!?
Specs: You've already come this far!?
Paintball Mask: Most of the arena's already yellow-colored. We win!
Specs: Gah!
Goggles: The match hasn't been decided just yet!
Specs: Exactly!
Goggles: Shoot the enemies to stop their advance, guys!
Blue Team: Aw yeah!
Goggles: (sneezes and splats Specs)
Specs: Gyaaaaa! DON'T SHOOT YOUR OWN TEAM!
Goggles: Sorry! Sorry!!
Headphones: You moron!
Narrator: There is no friendly fire in the actual game! Meanwhile, at the blue team's base...
Specs: Luckily! We respawn quicker than the blink of an eye!
Narrator: Even if you are killed, you can respawn from your base!
Specs: Super jump! (does a squid jump) Now I can over to my team real quick! Wait just a second, guys! I'm coming to save you right now! I WENT TOO FAR!? Hold on...! Help meee!
Headphones: Hm? Did you hear something?
Bobble Hat: Nope.
Paintball Mask: Alright, time to make everything yellow!
Headphones: Aah! I won't let that happen! (throws a Splash Wall) Sub weapon! Splash Wall!
Tako: (gets splatted by the Splash Wall) Kya!!
Goggles: Nice one!
Headphones: Yeah, let's turn this around!
Bobble Hat: I'll do it too! (throws a Splat Bomb) Sub weapon! Splat Bomb!
Gas Mask: (gets splatted by the Splat Bomb) Gya!
Goggles: That accuracy was amazing!
Narrator: Use your weapon properly to increase its efficiency!
Goggles: Oh! Here it comes! It's coming! Enough power has been stored up!
Headphones and Bobble Hat: Dooo iiiittt!!
Paintball Mask and Olive: Geh!!
Narrator: Once enough power builds up, you can use your special weapon to unleash your ultimate tech!
Goggles: (takes out his Inkzooka) Special weapon! Super shot!
Paintball Mask and Olive: (get splatted by the Inkzooka) Wagh!

Judd: Meow! (Time up!) Me-meow! ("meow-atch" over!) Meow! (The winner is... Blue Team!)
Blue Team: Alright!
Paintball Mask: Urk! Next time there's no way we'll lose!
Olive: Bye!
Goggles: Let's have another turf battle!
Bobble Hat: Bye-bye!
Headphones: Huh? Where's that one kid...?
(In Octo Valley)
Specs: WHERE AM I RIGHT NOW!?
Announcer: They're still midflight!
(Back in Inkopolis, a news broadcast by the Squid Sisters starts)
Callie: Hold on to your tentacles!
Marie: It's Inkopolis News time!
Callie: News flash! News flash!
Marie: What is it? What is it?!
Callie: Inkopolis's Great Zapfish has... vanished!
Marie: Wait, seriously?
Callie: If it isn't recovered soon, are we gonna lose power?
Marie: Oh, I'm sure it'll be fine...probably.
Callie: I wonder if it has anything to do with that UFO crash!
Marie: Sounds likely to me!
Callie: Well, that's all for now! Until next time...

(the news ends, then the young Inkling drops from their blimp and enters Octo Valley)
Cap'n Cuttlefish: Th-th-the... Oc-Oc-Oct... The Octarians are coming! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Oh, uh, hi... Guess I lost my cool for a minute there! I'm Cap'n Cuttlefish, leader of the legendary Squidbeak Splatoon! That look in your eye... It's the look I've been lookin' for! The Great Zapfish that powers Inkopolis has been squidnapped! Nobody believes me, but it's the work of the Octarians! I just know it! They want revenge for the Great Turf War of 100 years ago! I've been keepin' an eye on them this whole time, of course... But they stole the Great Zapfish right out from under my nose! Please! You gotta help me rescue the Great Zapfish! ... ... ... So... I'm gonna take your silence as a yes. (trades a Hero Suit for the young Inkling's starter outfit, then trades a Hero Suit for their Splattershot Jr.) Starting today, you are Agent 3 of the New Squidbeak Splatoon! This is your brand-new Hero Suit! It'll help you fight the Octarians. What a great fit! (For a hand me down from Agents 1 and 2...) Now let's go get those Octojerks! I'm countin' on you, bucko!
Agent 3: I can't do this on my own, if only I had helpers!
(Goggles and Rider go to Octo Valley and get new Hero Suits, also Goggles gets a Hero Shot and Rider gets a Hero Roller)
Goggles: We're here, Agent 3! We are your sidekicks! We'll help you find the Great Zapfish!
Rider: We need to find three Zapfish so we can fight the boss! We also need to find Specs!
(Agent 3, Goggles, and Rider enter the first kettle, and Goggles finds Specs, then the four make their way to find the Zapfish and defeat Octarians as the Squid Squad sings "Splattack!")
Agent 3: We found the first Zapfish! We need two more to open the boss kettle!
(Agent 3, Goggles, Rider, and Specs go back to Inkopolis)
Headphones: You reunited our teammate!
Bobble Hat: We couldn't have battled without him!
